Catherine Lindquist

04.27.2022

We sat down to interview our Marketing Co-Op Anna Martin, to see how her time at Dynisco has helped prepare her for her next chapter in life and discuss what the future holds for her.

Why did you choose to participate in the co-op program?

[AM] I chose to participate in the co-op program in order to gain practical experience and expand my resume. This program is a great way to make industry connections while learning new skills.

Was there a specific reason you chose to apply to Dynisco?

[AM] I was excited to apply to Dynisco because of the wide range of projects that the company undertakes. I have been able to explore many aspects of the marketing industry and expand on my strengths in Multimedia Communications.

What has been your favorite part of working here so far?

[AM] My favorite project I have worked on so far was creating the video “How to Commission a Pressure Sensor with a Dynisco 1490 Indication Device”. It was an interesting process because I was able to expand on my video production skills with the use of Adobe After Effects, creating animations that depicted Dynisco products.

What has been your biggest learnings from your experience here so far?

[AM] Dynisco has taught me a lot about the importance of teamwork. At high school, there is a strong focus on competition and individual success. Here I have seen everybody working together in order to achieve common goals.

What are your plans after this co-op?

[AM] After this co-op, I will be attending Brandeis University where I am planning to double concentrate in Film, Television, & Interactive Media and Cognitive Neuroscience with potential double minor in psychology and possibly journalism.  My long-term goal is to become a documentary filmmaker.

How has your time working here helped you to better prepare for future work experiences?

[AM] Dynisco has taught me about time management and organization. I have learned about the importance of prioritizing important projects and communicating with others regarding progress and deadlines.

Would you recommend other students to participate in the co-op program? Why or why not?

[AM] I would absolutely recommend that other students participate in the co-op program. Because of my experiences at Dynisco, I feel more prepared for both college and the world of work. I have learned a lot about working in a professional environment while continuing to use skills introduced to me in Multimedia Communications.
