We interviewed with Rob Houston, President of Schlemmer Associates to hear his thoughts on their partnership with Dynisco. Dynisco (D): Thank you so much for joining us in this segment Rob. What would you say is Schlemmer's vision of Success
Rob Houston (RH): Our vision or idea of success is to set business goals, then establish and implement a plan to work toward those goals. Success is defined as planning the work and working the plan to achieve defined goals.
(D): How long have you been partners with Dynisco and what differentiates your organization in the Plastics Processing Market?
(RH): The Schlemmer / Dynisco partnership has been long-standing and was established in 1972. Since 1965 Schlemmer has provided solutions in the Plastics Processing Markets for process measurement, control, and instrumentation. We are committed to our customers and pride ourselves in providing the right solution, the first time. We offer a broad line of in stock, superior, name brand products. Our professional staff has over 150 years of combined application experience
(D): Why partner with Dynisco?
(RH):The Schlemmer goal is to supply customers with only the highest quality products and services. For pressure measurement and plastic on-line and lab analytical instruments, Dynisco has proven to be the best.
(D): What does Dynisco do/provide to help you successfully compete in the markets you serve?
(RH): Dynisco provides high quality products, at a fair price to the Plastics Processing Industries. Dynisco helps Schlemmer help customers improve their processing capabilities, efficiencies and ultimately, achieve their company goals.
(D): What are your strengths and how does your partnership with Dynisco compliment those strengths?
(RH): Schlemmer strengths are longevity in the business, application and technical expertise, plus the ability to respond quickly to custom requests and requirements. Dynisco compliments those strengths through quick response to our technical questions and supplying products the application requires in a timely manner.
(D): Can you provide an example of how Dynisco has partnered with you to complete a sale or realize a success?(RH):Schlemmer and Dynisco partnered to help an Injection Molding OEM with a very costly hydraulic pressure measurement problem. The problem was due to high pressure spikes generated in the hydraulic system and the result was an extremely high rate of pressure transducer failure. As a result of the Dynisco/Schlemmer partnership, and the relentless attention to the transducer design detail, the developed transducer is still considered the “gold standard of the molding industry” for hydraulic pressure measurement applications.
