Online Rheometer Webinar - Business applications of real-time rheology

This video webinar provides examples of typical cost saving initiatives. We will show the type of investment in time, money, and human capital to achieve these cost savings, will show how an online rheometer operates, and will share the data you will be able to monitor. If you select and promote process improvement projects in polymer extrusion, have profit and loss responsibility, are looking to raise efficiencies, or if your polymer extrusion operation has scrap, then this webinar is for you.

Simplified Rheology for the Masses: A Technical Discussion

In this webinar, we focus on technical aspects of correlating laboratory measurements with full production runs. We discuss how parameters change between laboratory standards and production and how advanced equipment today can adjust for these differences. We also go through the simplicity and ease of use of today's next-generation measurement tools and how they allow every employee to understand whether or not their material is in specification throughout the production run.

Dynisco ViscoIndicator Webinar

The goal of this presentation is to provide a better understanding what's going on in the polymer market; explain why there is a market need for rheologic instrumentation; and introduce an online rheometer that is economical, easy to install, and applicable to all extrusion processors. Attendees will address issues such as the need to test polymers; the correlation of lab values to online production; and the impact of melt flow index and viscosity on part quality and profitability.

Effects of Viscoelastic Properties of Polymer Melts on Entrance Flow Pattern

Analyzing elastic properties and predicting flow instability of viscoelastic polymers is important for designing dies and flow systems in an extrusion process simulation or quality/process control purposes. This is even more essential for the processes that are involved with stretching of polymer melt such as film/sheet extrusion or blown film extrusion. Moreover, irregular flow patterns at the corner of a die entrance may cause reduction of the process productivity due to the extra energy consumption for extruding the melt as well as producing defective materials.
