Digitrol Certified to Repair Dynisco Polymer Test Equipment; São Paulo Distributor Now Offers Complete Service

January 2, 2012

After a week of intensive training in the United States, technicians from Digitrol Indústria e Comércio Ltda, São Paulo, Brazil, have been certified to provide local service on all Dynisco polymer-testing equipment, including LMI melt indexers, LCR capillary rheometers, and online rheometers. This means that it is no longer necessary to suffer the delay or the high cost associated with bringing a certified technician in from the United States. Digitrol is believed to be the only certified repair facility for polymer test equipment in the region.

“The Dynisco testing systems our customers use provide information about resin behavior that is vital to process improvement,” explains Denise Costa, Digitrol Product Manager. “With this kind of equipment, they cannot afford to wait while a technician travels to Brazil. Our customers now will feel more comfortable and confident knowing that there is a factory-trained technician nearby to provide assistance and service when they need it. This is one more good reason for them to choose Dynisco equipment.”

Digitrol is a privately owned and operated Brazilian company marketing industrial instrumentation since 1984. In 2004, the company formed a service division to provide preventive and corrective maintenance and calibration of instrumentation, either in the customer’s plant or in Digitrol’s own workshops. A distinguished team of technicians is supported by highly specialized laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art tools and a large and diverse inventory of spare parts and tools. The company also offers scheduled maintenance programs and modernization of equipment.

According to Jeff Wilkins, Dynisco Sales Manager – Americas, the training was conducted at the Dynisco facility in Akron, Ohio. It included both classroom and hands-on repair exercises, so the technicians could learn not only how to diagnose problems with the equipment, but also how make repairs. The trainees will return to Akron periodically for refresher courses and as equipment changes make additional training necessary.
